Margaret Frances Potts (née Worrell), affectionately known as Marty or Maggie, passed away on August 26, 2024, in North Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 77. Born on November 7, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, she grew up to be a strong-willed and fiercely protective sibling, traits that endeared her to many.

Marty graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1964 and built a longstanding career in the automotive parts industry, working for Eastside Auto Parts and later, O'Reilly Automotive. Beyond her professional life, Marty was an avid member of the KC Dart Association from 1986 to 1992, playing for Team Carousers at the Corner Tavern in Northeast KC, MO. She cherished her time playing darts, a period during which she forged lasting friendships and even secured a 3rd place in the silver division during the 1986 summer season.

Her interests extended to reading, leaving behind a vast collection of books, and she had a passion for genealogy. Marty also found joy in the tunes of classic rock and roll music. She was a proud mother and grandmother, whose love and pride for her family were boundless.

Marty is survived by her sister, Carla Higbee (Pat), brother Russell Worrell, children Kurt Johnson of Kansas City, Denitia Mcguire (Mike) of Georgia, and Brad Johnson (Renada) of Dearborn, MO. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Tristen, Drake, and Creek Johnson, and stepsons James David Potts and Christopher Lee Potts. Other survivors nephews Gary Long (Mary) Jimmy Worrell Jason Worrell and John Eric Bower niece Robin Worrell and her beloved cat, Precious. She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Larry Potts, her parents John P. and Jessie L. (Bowery) Worrell, her sister Bonnie Acree (Bart), her brother John B. Worrell, and her niece Shannon Dee Long.

A small private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Passantino Brothers Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri, is assisting the family during this time. Marty's life, marked by her spirited personality and loving nature, will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
