Margaret Rose (Spinello) Ventimiglia, 98, Kansas City, MO, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Nick, and parents, Carl and Josephine Spinello; also by siblings Katherine Blando, Ann Priolo, Louise Spinello, Paul and Joseph Spinello; and by grandson David Heffner.

Margaret is survived by her children, Frances Brian and Betty (Jerry) Heffner, grandchildren Kathe (Jeff) Emerson, Tim (Pauline) Brian, Nikki Heffner, and Susan (Jim) Lere. She is further survived by great-grandchildren, Angela (Nick) Graan, Patrick (Bryce) Brian, Nick Hurt, Carl (Sarah) Lere, Mike Lere, Kjerstin Lere, and great-great grandchildren Josie and Ellie Graan, and Summer Lere.

Margaret was a stay-at-home mother and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed hosting her Italian family gatherings and was famous for her spaghetti and meatballs and Italian cookies (which were mandatory at all family weddings and holidays!).

Private services were held. Donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or a charity of your choice.
