Hong was born on November 9, 1956, in Vinh Long, Vietnam. She moved in July 1997 from Saigon, Vietnam and made her home in Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband and daughter.

A wonderful wife, mother, sister, and aunt, Hong was known for her warmth, kindness, and deep love for her family. She brought joy to everyone she encountered, especially through her cooking. Her meals were not only delicious but also served as a reflection of her love for those around her. Hong was at her happiest serving others through the meals she prepared. Her meals were adored by all she served.

Hong is survived by her husband, Huong Bien, and daughter, Hang Bien; brothers, Kiem Ho and Tan Ho; and nephews, Vu Ho, Huyen Ho, and Tuong Ho.

Hong loved her family dearly. One of Hong's greatest joys in life was her family. She often spoke of how much they meant to her, and one of her biggest dreams was fulfilled when she was finally able to reunite with her brother in Melbourne, Australia after 36 years apart due to the aftermath of the Vietnam War.

Hong will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of being in her presence. May her memory live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her love and kindness.

Visitation and prayer will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 7, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Redemptorist) Catholic Church. Cremation will follow.
