Maria (Forte) Trombino, 85, passed away February 4, 2022. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Contributions are suggested to Special Olympics Missouri .
Maria was born August 21, 1936, in Sicily, and came to the United States in May of 1969 to join her extended family and start a new chapter. She was a homemaker who took pride in raising her family. Her talents included baking, cooking, and gardening. She was also a successful seamstress. Maria and her late husband enjoyed playing cards with their friends and hosting dinners with their family.
Maria was preceded in death by Salvatore, her beloved husband of 52 years, and her parents Lorenzo and Rosaria Forte. She is survived by her five children, Virginia Cangelosi (Jasper), Rose Rudi (William), Florence Berti (Mark), Giuseppe Trombino (Dana), and Larry Trombino (Nikki); her 11 grandchildren, Orazio Cangelosi (Jenny), Salvatore Cangelosi (Julia), Pamela Milano (Frank), Mary Brulja (Scott), Lisa LaBruzzo (Nick), Christina Snaider (Jordan), Victoria Brinkmeyer (Spencer), Salvatore Trombino (Natalie), Santino Trombino, Valencia Trombino, and Marcella Trombino; great-grandchildren, AnnaMarie, Samantha, Francesca, Frankie Mike, Nicholas, Enza, Jasper, Dominic, Giuliana, Luca, Cenzo, Jackson, Joseph, Elouise, Marchesa, Rocco, Esmae, Giovanni, Rose, Graham, and Baby Trombino; and two sisters in Italy, Franca Florenti and Rosa Iscaro.
Pallbearers: Orazio Cangelosi, Salvatore Cangelosi, Frank Milano, Salvatore Trombino, Spencer Brinkmeyer, Scott Brulja, Nick LaBruzzo, Jordan Snaider, and Santino Trombino.
