Marie (Giaramita) Lobdell, 86, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at her home. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah South Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Marie was born November 17, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to Nick and Rose (Nuzzo) Giaramita. She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was active with the St. Joseph Table. She was a checker for Town & Country Market for many years and later worked at Pip's Quick Shop. She loved to bake and enjoyed making cakes for family and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burton Lobdell; son, Michael Lobdell; brother, Leonard Giaramita; and sisters, Marian Beck and Tina Benninato.

She is survived by her daughters, Rose Billings and husband Roger, Patricia Pollock and Stan; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Marie was a caring mother and grandmother who always put others before herself. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
