Marie Theresa (Flavin) Pace, 83, Kansas City, MO, passed away at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, the tenth anniversary of her husband Anthony's passing. Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 11:45 a.m. Saturday, September 26, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 NE 96th St., Kansas City, MO 64155, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Matthew Brumleve, who was like a son to her. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Contributions are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation; the American Diabetes Association; or the American Heart Association.

Marie was born November 8, 1931, in Kansas City, MO, to Daniel and Lucille (Collins) Flavin. She graduated from St. James Grade School, and Lillis High School in 1949. Marie worked at City National Bank prior to her marriage to Anthony "Tony" Pace in June of 1955. Mom then became the ultimate homemaker raising her nine children. She later worked at Glennon Place in several capacities before retiring in 1994. Marie was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and, with its closure, joined St. Anthony Parish. She attended Holy Family Parish in her later years, and had lived at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home for the last four years where she developed many friendships.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Anthony; and her great-grandson Jack Anthony Mullin. Survivors include her children and spouses, Carl Pace, Anthony D. and JoMarie Pace, Diane and Jeff Eastman, Teresa and Jerry Glorioso, Joseph Pace, Mary Pace, Toni and Vincent Mussorici, and John and Heather Pace; grandchildren, Dana and Chris Mullin, Nicki Pace, Nicole and Geoff Kudlacz, Scott Eastman, JoLynn and Vincent Glorioso, Andrea and Antoinette Mussorici, Anna Marie, John Anthony, and Nicholas Carl Pace; and great-grandchildren, Camille Breen and Anna Jo Mullin. She is also survived by two brothers and sister-in-law, Daniel R. Flavin, Joseph E. and Beverly Flavin; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Grace Badami, and Sadie and Jack Kern.

Pallbearers: Scott A. Eastman, Vincent A. Glorioso, Chris Mullin, and Geoff Kudlacz.

The family would like to thank Dr. Roman Enriquez and his nurse Donna; and Gentiva Hospice, especially RN Riki, for their care of Marie.
