Marie (Gioia) Pena's Obituary
Marie J. (Gioia) Pena, 90, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106, where the Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, at Holy Rosary Church, followed by burial at Mount St. Mary's Cemetery.
Marie was born August 12, 1925, and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO. She was an excellent seamstress and retired from The Jones Store Co. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Pena; parents, Frank and Anna Gioia; and brother-in-law, Gene Gautieri.
Survivors include her daughters, Mariann Pena and Lorraine Pena; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hank and Karen Gioia, John and Dolores Gioia; sisters, Virginia Gioia and Josephine Gautieri; and nieces and nephews.
