Marietta Carlene (Amaro) Wimmer, 84, of Kansas City MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.

Marietta was born January 1, 1939, in Kansas City to Carl "Kayo" Amaro and Virginia (Belmonte) Amaro and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from Bank of Jacomo and was a former member of St. James Parish in Liberty.  Marietta was preceded in death by her former husband, William B Ferguson, in 1972; and daughter, Angela Ferguson, in 1981.

Her survivors include her husband Michael William Wimmer; son Dr. Frank Carl Ferguson and wife Kimberly Ferguson; brother Dr. John Amaro and wife Dr. Debra Richel; grandchildren William Ferguson and wife Lauren Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson and wife Franki Ferguson, Vincent Ferguson; and great-grandchildren Frankie, Leonardo, Annabelle, Kimberly Fontana, Amara and Carlo Ferguson.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, at St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
