It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Gulotta Frederick, 82, a remarkable woman who lived a full life as a beloved wife, dear mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 25, 1942, in the Northeast area of Kansas City, Missouri, Marilyn dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 25 years, Joe, her five children, and grandchildren who she adored more than anything.

Marilyn graduated from Glennon High School in 1959. She received her associate's degree in occupational therapy in 1996 and enjoyed working to help others overcome physical challenges. Marilyn was a member of Visitation Parish for fifty-nine years, where she was a Eucharist minister, docent, volunteer and participated in the Visitation Angels group.

Marilyn's greatest joys came from the happiness she created for others, fostering a loving home for her husband and children, and entertaining her beloved friends. Her homemade pasta and meatballs, pizza and her world-famous scaccia bread were legendary in the neighborhood among all friends and family.

The family would like to thank Marilyn's loyal friends who loved her dearly and have always shown unwavering support for her.

Heartfelt thanks to Lynn and Suzanne with Kansas City Hospice who provided much more than nursing care for Marilyn and her family. These dedicated women gave their expertise, time, love and compassion.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Bradshaw; and her parents Josephine and John Gulotta.

She is survived by her husband Joe Frederick; children: Pat (Sandra) Bradshaw, Sean (Barbara, Landon & Keegan) Bradshaw, Jody (Victor) Denson, Michael Bradshaw, Brad (Karen) Frederick, Leigh (Brian) Steele, Lori (Derek) Buehler, Meg Frederick; her sisters Linda Breitenstein and Vicki Kinman; her brother John Gulotta; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Saturday, March 29th at Visitation Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A luncheon will be at Tighe Hall immediately following the burial. Donations are suggested to The Kansas City Hospice Foundation and The Alzheimer's Association
