Marjorie Ann (Kasiah) Grotzinger was born on June 27, 1944. She passed on January 9, 2014 at 1:15 p.m. at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Holt, MO, she moved to Kansas City and began training in the field of nursing. Her career spanned decades, helping so many along the way, and ended with her retirement in 2007 due to medical reasons. She was a devout member of St. Anthony's Parish and regularly attended Mass and services. A private woman, she kept to herself but helped those in need when she could.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, William Grotzinger; six children, Joseph Peavey of Washington State, Cathleen Peavey of Kansas City, MO, Judith McGinnis of Independence, MO, Shawnia Peavey of Kansas City, MO, Angela Stryker of Kansas City, MO, and Treava Lawson; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 309 Benton Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow the services.
