Mary Frances Carrillo passed away on Monday, July 10th, 2023, at the age of 74. Family and friends will honor her life on Friday, July 21st, 2023, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home.  The visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the Rosary at 1:30pm.  The procession will immediately follow to Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Following the burial, we will gather at The American Sons of Columbus to celebrate Mary's life as she would like us too.

Mary Frances was born on December 8th, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri.  She grew up on the Westside and in the North End.  She went to school at Garrison Elementary School and Emanual High School.  Mary attended church at Holy Rosary and later Holy Cross.  After school she joined the Job Corp in Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, Alvino S. Carrillo, Jr, who was serving in the United States Air Force.  Mary and Alvino married in Sinton, Texas on May 15th, 1968.  They eventually settled and raised their family in the Northeast neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri.

While taking care of the home and being the best mother ever, Mary worked at Sears, Montgomery Wards, Red Line and retired from McKessen, where she made many lifelong friends that continue to be a part of her life even today.

Mary's true love and passion was her family.  She embraced her role as a mother, and also as an abuelita to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her children and grandchildren always knew that they could count on her for anything at any time.  The memories that she has made with her family will last forever.  Mary loved tex-mex music, dancing, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe Madrigal and Marina Hernandez Madrigal and stepfather Pancho Cruz.  Her brothers Edward Madrigal and Louis Madrigal, sister Theresa Cruz and her nephews Victor Cruz and Lupe Madrigal.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alvino S Carrillo, Jr.; her daughter Angela (Bernie) Batliner; sons Alvino (Denise) Carrillo and Avel Carrillo; her  nine grandchildren, Elysia Carrillo-Batliner, Robert Batliner, Mark Carrillo, Matthew (Chandler) Carrillo, Kaitlyn Carrillo, Mario Carrillo, Demitrius Valencia, Nicholas Shafer and Ryan Shafer;  she had 11 great-grandchildren: Anthony Jenkins, Adalynne Vallardo, Anika Vallardo, Isaac Ramirez, Emorie Ramirez, Octavian Carrillo, Elliana Carrillo, Dallis Carrillo, Angel Batliner, Ariana Batliner and Ava Mari-Frances Batliner.   Mary is also survived by her sisters, Geraldine Kiely, Marina Vasquez, and Patricia Marie (Ben) Eyre; brother Albert Madrigal, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law who love her dearly.  Mary also had two chihuahua's whom she loved very much - Jon Jon and Cocoa.

Mary was a loving mother.  She was always there for her family.  No matter the choices we made she loved us unconditionally.  She was a beautiful woman.   With her by our side we never felt alone.  She was loved by everyone who knew her.    She will be greatly missed by everyone who's lives she touched.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Robert, Mark, Matthew, Mario, Demitrius and Anthony.
