Obituary

Mary Frances Caudillo, age 67, of Kansas City, Mo. passed into peace Saturday, May 9, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Mary grew up in the Historic Northeast Neighborhood of Kansas City, Mo., having graduated from Glennon High School in 1965. Mary and her husband, Pete Caudillo, celebrated 50 years of marriage on April 30, 2015. Mary retired from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with her entire family, which consisted of five sisters and one brother and their families, all of Kansas City, Mo. Mary is remembered for her love of camping trips, visits to regional spiritual sites and grottos and taking long car rides throughout the city, which often included a stop for ice cream.

Mary is survived by her husband, Pete Caudillo; her son, Pete, his wife, Caroline and their daughter, Jessica; and son, Christopher and his two children, Stacey and Timothy.

She is survived by her brother Ed Galvan, his wife Deborah and their son, Geoffrey; her sister, Rita (Galvan) Cook; her husband, Anthony; and daughters, Janel Morales; and daughter, Lydia (Alvarez) Winn, her husband, Curtis and children, Elias Contreras and Devon Nickols. She is also survived her sister, Christina (Galvan) Horn; and sister Robin (Galvan) Rowlette, husband, Mike; sons, Matthew and Brandon Rowlette; daughter, Erika (Rowlette) Hernandez, husband, Mike and children, Michael, Jr. and Olivia. Additionally, she is survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins, which include Sylvia Linder and family; Mark Herrera and family; Michael Hernandez; Rose, Diana Jo and Lucy Sanchez and their families; Teresa Rivera and family and Mary Dolores Hernandez and family. Mary's large family also included the love of The Caudillo Family, which included her husband Pete's parents; his brothers and sisters and all of their children and grandchildren and countless cousins.

She was preceded in death by members of her immediate family, which included her parents, Robert and Dolores Galvan; sisters, Hortense Hernandez and Josephine Herrera; and her daughter Stephanie Caudillo.
