Mary C. DiGirlamo, 95, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Liberty Hospital. Visitation will be 9:30-11:15 a.m. Friday, May 9, at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church, 4737 N. Cleveland, Kansas City, MO 64117, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Please omit flowers.

Mary was born September 19, 1918, in Kansas City, MO, to Tom and Congetta (Ragusa) Malaponti. She was a very warm and loving person who enjoyed cooking and baking. Her biscotti's and thumbprint cookies were loved by everyone. Mary also enjoyed playing cards every Sunday with family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dominick DiGirlamo; brothers, Carl, Tony, Sam, Joe, and Louie Malaponti; sister, Nancy Crist; and daughter-in-law, Rosemary DiGirlamo.

Survivors include her sons, Nick DiGirlamo, Tom DiGirlamo; daughter-in-law, Jimmye DiGirlamo; grandchildren, Mary Kay DiGirlamo and Melissa Ruttan, Rosemarie and Anthony Sola, Liz and Ryan Westhues, Angela DiGirlamo, Christina DiGirlamo, Jennifer DiGirlamo, Donnie and Rachelle Cuccia; great-grandchildren, Alex Ruttan DiGirlamo, Sophia and Mia Sola, Antoinette, Ross, Joey, Johnny, and Anthony Cuccia; brother and sisters-in-law Charlie and Margaret Malaponte, Yvonne Malaponti; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucy and Larry Arthur, Theresa and Gene Pendleton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Sadie DiGerlamo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers: Anthony Sola, Ryan Westhues, Tom Malaponte, Eddie Malaponte, Byron Pendleton, Richard Marasculo.
