Mary Margaret Ferrara, age 80, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2022, at NorthCare Hospice after a lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, September 12, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Flowers or contributions to Kansas City Hospice in her honor are acceptable.

Mrs. Ferrara was born January 30, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was married to Anthony Ferrara for many years and worked at Tom's Produce, the family's business, until shortly before Anthony's death. After the death of her beloved husband, she worked part-time and filled her days with other things to pass the time. She enjoyed bowling and bocce with her friends and was past-president of the American Daughters of Columbus. In 2007 when her youngest grandchild AJ was born, she devoted a majority of her time to him. The two were inseparable. She enjoyed life to the fullest extent possible and loved her family with all her heart. She reminisced frequently about Sunday dinners and holiday parties for all of her extended family. She was a true friend to many and if she liked you, you could do no wrong. Likewise, if she didn't, she would surely let you know. She was quite the anomaly because she could be so generous but completely unforgiving if she thought you had it coming.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Anthony Ferrara Sr.; her mother Nancy DiCapo; her father Tom Cobb; and brothers Joe and John Cobb.

Survivors include her son Anthony Ferrara Jr. and his wife Arianne, son Robert Stacy and his wife Michelle, and daughter Theresa Stacy-Montgomery and her husband Ed; her grandchildren: Anthony "AJ", Armani, Linda, Jonathan, Alexandra, and Andrew; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as her last sister-in-law Annette (Ferrara) Fronce.

She was given excellent care by the KU Cancer team: Dr. Lominska, Dr. Beahm, and Dr. Neupane, the KU Palliative Care team, and the angels at NorthCare / Kansas City Hospice. The family extends our deepest gratitude to all of them for extending her life and making it the best as possible.
