Mary V. Howell of Kansas City, Mo. went home to be with her children Joseph Anthony, Richard Lawrence and Michele Theresa on July 25th 2014.

A memorial service will be held on August 1, 2014 at Calvary Temple Church, 5607 St. John Ave, Kansas City, Mo at 11:00 am with the re-pass directly following. Her remains will be interred at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo with a private graveside memorial for immediate family only.

She is survived by: a brother Marion Flynn Blizzard Jr. and 8 surviving children: Lonnie, Marina, Sherry, Brenda, Alan, Laura, Timothy and Rebecca; 17 Grandchildren: Jennifer, Misty, Amanda, Coletta, Crystal, Makala, Todd, Michael, Nicole, Eric, Jessica, Sarah, Troy, Sheldon, Celena, Dylan, and Joey; 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary was born in Preston, Georgia on March 17, 1938. To Marion and Evelyn. Mom was proud to serve her country on two occasions. First with the Army as an army nurse, and again with the Air National Guard as a police officer she was a Graduate of Penn Valley College with an Associate of Arts degree. She was an avid student in the Study of Astrology and Genealogy. She became a Non – Denominational Minister after retiring as a LPN Nurse. Her hobbies included tracking and keeping family records through genealogy as well as studying Astrology, Reading, Baking, and Opera. She will be deeply missed and greatly remembered by her family and friends as well as all who met her. She was a wonderful mother who fought for her children in every way. Loving each with a fierce passion and a want for all their dreams to come true.
