Mary Incaprera, age 93, died peacefully on February 27, 2014 at NorthCare Hospice House. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to NorthCare Hospice or the Leukemia / Lymphoma Society.

Mary was born in Kansas City, MO on July 11, 1920 to Frank and Congetta Glorioso, but grew up in her family's hometown of Cefalu, Sicily. As a young girl, she learned to knit and crochet and her homemade sweaters, scarves, blankets and booties helped support her family during the harsh times of World War II. After the war, she lived with her husband and young children in La Plata, Argentina for several years before returning to Kansas City in 1953.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Incaprera, her parents, daughter-in-law Tina Incaprera, and brothers Stefano, John, Vincent and Santo Glorioso.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Frank Incaprera, daughter and son-in-law Maria and Joseph A. Accurso, grandchildren, Maria (Frank) Kratofil, Joe (Angela) Accurso, and Laura (Marty) Mulcahy. "Nani Miss Mary" also leaves eight great-grandchildren whom she adored, Katelyne, Anthony and Frankie Kratofil, Sam, Nicki and Jack Accurso, and Michael and Joseph Mulcahy. She can now rest in peace, "nice e quiety".
