Mary Catherine Passantino (Dooley), 86, passed away October 29, 2020.

Mary CATherine was born on October 1, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri, and was raised in the Columbus Park Neighborhood (North End) as well as Northeast Kansas City. She graduated from Manual High and Vocational School in 1953. She leaves her sister and brother-in-law Delores and Frank Serrone; and was preceded in death by her mother, Mary (Cacioppo) DiGiovanna; and her brother Joe Paul Passantino.

Aunt Cat has had a Koala-Tea Life. She was like a tea bag - you just didn't know how strong she was until you put her in hot water. Only an aunt like her can give hugs like a mother, keep secrets like a sister, and share love like a friend. Aunt Cat raised the profession of 'auntship' to a fine art, boasts her sixteen nieces and nephews. Her famous saying was "Forget about it"! She continued to be passionate about music and dancing and, as anyone who knew her will tell you, she could cut a rug. There is no doubt in our minds that she is now dancing in the skies of Heaven.

Visitation will be at 10:30 am with the Funeral Mass to begin at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church, 4737 N. Cleveland Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64117. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

For those who choose to attend, the family respectfully asks that masks be worn unless medically compromised, and social distancing be observed.
