Mary Theresa Mesmer Ringel, 61, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Kansas City, MO and was the youngest daughter of William P. and Lois Norene Landis Mesmer. Mary was a graduate of St. Pius X High School - Class of 1983. Following high school, she worked as a medical assistant to Dr. Jim Leahy. After raising her kids, Mary worked as a classroom assistant at Little Lambs Preschool. She always looked forward to the annual Bennett Springs trip with her brothers and family. The past few years she spent time crafting, enjoying game shows, and visiting her grandson, Hank.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Catherine Sue Mesmer. She is survived by Rick, her husband of 31 years; son John; daughter Isabel (Tanner); grandson Hank; her brothers: Tom (Debbie) and Mark; and numerous nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

Services will be held on Friday, April 17th at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Gladstone, Missouri. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:15 a.m. followed by the rosary at 10:30 a.m., and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. [ LIVE STREAM ] Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
