Mary Ann (Reece) Sirna, 88 years of age passed away July 13th. 2026.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Anthony F. Sirna, parents Norma and Bill Reece, and grandparents Blanche (Mama) and Roy Biggs, Jeanne Bartlett, Charlie Bartlett, Jane Biggs, and Edgar Biggs.

She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from East High School. She converted to Catholicism and raised her children in Catholic schools and church. She was a homemaker most of her life until she went to work at Sears for a few years. She retired from Mobil Oil Co. in 1999 after working there for 20 years.

She spent most of her days in her garden and loved to crochet.

She is survived by her children Joseph (Mary Jane), Paula, Nanette, Peter (Rebecca), Michele Smart (Merlyn), Anthony (Julie), and Michael (Christina); 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; cousin Peggy Porter; and longtime family friend Marilyn Van Trump.

Services will be held on Friday, July 17th, at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Independence, MO. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 10:40 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Alzheimer's Association .
