Mary Rose (Imperiale) Sorrentino passed away Wednesday January 3rd, 2024, at New Mark Care Center at the age of 95. Services will be held on Thursday, January 11th at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Hwy 9, Kansas City, MO 64152. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Mary was born on February 6, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri. She married the love of her life, Frank Sorrentino, on October 25, 1949. She worked at General Motors until they started a family in 1951, when she became a full-time mother. Her years were filled with supporting her family in all their endeavors and always making meatballs on Sunday mornings after church. She dedicated much of her time to St. Therese Church, actively participating as a Eucharistic Minister, in the Daughters of Isabella, and as a fixture at funeral lunches, church related social functions, and at the earliest Mass on Sunday mornings. She loved spending time with her family and friends, she loved to laugh, and she loved games. In fact, she played bingo right up until the day she left us, always excited by a winning card. She had a warm but mischievous smile and a twinkle in her eye that made her loved instantly by all who met her.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank Michael Sorrentino; her parents Bennie and Anna Imperiale; her brothers Jake Imperiale, Bennie Imperiale and Vincent Imperiale; as well as her sister, Virginia Imperiale.

Mary is survived by her children Joseph Sorrentino, Roseanna Sorrentino, Anthony Sorrentino and wife Leslie, and Annalise Sorrentino; and many nieces and nephews.
