(Tittone) Gianchino
Jan 1, 1933 — Nov 21, 2020
Mary Teresa (Tittone) Gianchino passed away on November 21, 2020, while holding her husband's hand. The cause of death was the COVID virus.
Mary Teresa was born January 1, 1933, to Jack and Eulalia (DeMott) Tittone. She graduated from Northeast High School, married Bill Gianchino, and started their family and long lives together. Her life blossomed taking care of her family and spending time with her sisters and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Vincent and John, sisters Rose Bogert and Jackie Danzo, and daughter Vincie Gianchino Armato.
Mary Teresa is survived by her husband Bill, their children Gina and Terry Presko, Vincie's spouse Andrew Armato, Sam and Laura Gianchino, Trisha and Dave Sapenaro, and Mary and Richard Hergott, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her two sisters Betty Stasi and Virginia Yearwood who will carry forth the Tittone torch.
Mom always served others first and was the last one to sit at the table. She was a wonderful cook and baked thousands of cookies for weddings and holidays for family and friends. Mom's fig cookies and arancini's were the absolute best.
Nani was very proud of her grandchildren who loved her dearly. She made cookbooks of her favorite recipes and many beautiful handmade embroidery items for all of them.
She will be missed very much.
The family would like to thank the staff at New Mark Care Center.
A private Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 27 th at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church, KCMO, followed by burial at 11:30 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery.
