Mary Beth Watson, 52, Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 13, at St. Mark's Church, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery. Please omit flowers.

Mary was born September 21, 1961, in Kansas City, MO. She was active at St. Mark's Parish, working 19 years as a teacher for St. Mark's Small Wonder Preschool, and was a member of the church choir for many years. She also served as vice-president of the Fr. James L. Wallace Council #6794 Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

Mary is survived by her mother, Caroline DeMaria Wall; her grandmother, Kelly DeMaria; father and step-mother, Gale and Phyllis Watson; brothers, Frank, Greg and Tommy Watson; seven step-brothers and their spouses; two step-sisters; many nieces and nephews; aunts, Betty Hayes and Joye Fisher; and uncle, Tom Watson.
