Matthew Lee Thomas Cordray, 48, of Pleasant Hill, MO, passed away March 30, 2024, at his home.

Matthew was born July 10, 1975, in Kansas City, MO, and attended Northeast High School. He loved to spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed writing poems and going to the movies. He was a diehard Chiefs fan - win or lose.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas and Evelyn Cordray; grandparents George and Geneva Hartman; parents Charles and Georgia Cordray; and brother Charles L. "Chuck" Cordray II. He is survived by his brother Jeff Cordray of Kansas City, MO; brother Bobby Cordray of Pleasant Hill, MO; sister Sis Shafer (Steve Shafer) of Independence, MO; sister Mary Cordray of Independence, MO; sister Joyce Wagers of Independence, MO; sister-in-law Rachelle Cordray of Independence, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be Friday, April 12,2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Freedom Point Church, 212 Main Street B, Garden City, MO 64747. There will be a dinner following the services at the church.
