Maxine Tarantola, 85, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave., Kansas City, MO 64123. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.

Maxine was born July 19, 1929 in Kansas City, MO. She was a longtime member of Holy Cross Parish where she was active with the Altar Society and worked in the rectory. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John A. Tarantola, in 2011.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, John Michael and Anita Tarantola, Joseph Anthony Tarantola, Frankie Robbins, John Anthony Tarantola Jr., Louis Darryl and Debbie Tarantola, Millie and Pat Toplikar, Lisa Magee; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Coons; and sister-in-law, Rose Mary LeVota.

Maxine was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
