Michael "Mike" Dorcy, 83, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, peacefully at home.

Mike was born April 23, 1938, to parents Albert and Agnes Dorcy. He fell in love with Maizie "Sue" (Shortino) Dorcy and was married on September 8, 1958. Mike and Sue were happily married for 63 years. Together they raised two wonderful daughters, Michele and Kelly. Mike's four grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment he spent with them.

Mike was an accomplished trade painter and retired after 30 years from the painters' union. He was also a licensed taxidermist. He channeled his professional skills into his many creative hobbies. Mike was an accomplished artist with a particular focus on Native American arts and culture. Mike was unparalleled in his ability to work with his hands. He was known to many for his incredible craftsmanship. Mike was passionate about the Boy Scouts of America and was an accomplished troop leader and an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe Mic-O-Say. Mike loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Mike is loved and will be missed by his family. Mike was preceded in death by his daughter Michele Hidy. He is survived by his wife Sue, his daughter Kelly Brancato and her husband Nate, his son-in-law Kevin Hidy, his grandchildren Michael and Jenna Hidy and Nathaniel and Nicholas Brancato, and his sister Anna Marie Dorcy.
