Michael Samuel
Persell
Feb 3, 1942 — May 20, 2025
In Loving Memory of Michael Samuel Persell
Michael beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. He was married to Maria for 42 wonderful years.
Michael was a proud member of Pipefitters Local 533 and the retired business owner of Commercial Refrigeration. Known for his strong work ethic, he took great pride in his trade and in the business he built.
A proud Italian-American, Michael never missed an opportunity to celebrate his heritage. He had a deep appreciation for good food, lively conversation, and traditions that brought his family together — especially during the holidays, which he treasured most of all.
Michael loved to travel, especially with friends to Las Vegas. When not in Vegas, he could often be found at local casinos, enjoying the camaraderie and excitement they offered.
More than anything, Michael loved being with his family. Whether sharing a meal or simply spending time together, his presence was a constant source of strength, warmth, and joy.
Dad, you touched our hearts in ways words cannot express. Your love, laughter, and legacy will live on in all of us. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Samuel Michael Persell, mother Lilly Persell, brother Pat Persell, niece Kathy Sherrow, and granddaughter Chelsie Persell.
His is survived by his wife Maria Persell; sons Sam and Jeanie Persell, Phil and Regina Persell, Nathan and Shawn Persell, Jim and Kathy Persell, John Caime, Pat and Rosie Caime; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
