Michele Marie (Dorcy) Hidy, 58, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.

Michele was born October 29, 1961, to parents Maizie "Sue" and Michael Dorcy.

Michele graduated from North East High School in 1979, where she was active in drama and the performing arts. After graduation she attended Glamour Tres Beauty School and enjoyed a career in cosmetology at the Gemini V salon. Michele enjoyed great success in her diverse professional pursuits, working at Pampered Pet salon, J.C. Penny's, and Sephora. Michele also used her adept interpersonal skills working as a personal care assistant for close a family friend. Michele also owned and operated Soak Therapy, handcrafting an array of artisan bathing and aroma therapy products.

Michele fell in love with Kevin Hidy and was married on February 2, 1985. Together they raised two wonderful children, Michael and Jenna, who were the joy and focus of her life. Michele was passionate about caring for those close to her, especially in the form of homecooked meals. She also found enjoyment and peace in the process of creating and problem solving, filling her spare time with crafts and puzzles.

Michele is loved and will be missed by her family: her husband Kevin, children Jenna and Michael, beloved pets Gracie, Lyla, and Honey, her parents Mike and Sue, her sister Kelly Brancato and her husband Nate, and her nephews Nicholas and Nathaniel. Michele will also be missed by her countless friends and family.

A private service will be held for her immediate family and a celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
