Mike R. Caldrone, 89, Kansas City, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 19, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 9020 E. 51st St., Kansas City, MO 64133. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday at St. Bernadette Church prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Odyssey Hospice.

Mike was born July 15, 1922 in Kansas City, MO to Antonio and Mary (Messina) Caldrone. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII and was active with the St. Joseph Society at St. Bernadette's. He worked for United Chemical Co. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Caldrone; and sisters, Ann Biondo and Helen Denti.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lena (Moley) Caldrone; daughter, Mary Carpenter; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Caldrone, Joe and Cheryl Caldrone; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Moreno; sister-in-law, Mary Palazzola; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
