Nadine Ann LaBella, 89, Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terr., Kansas City, MO 64116, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Nadine was born March 8, 1930, in the Northeast section of Kansas City, MO, to Albert and Calina (DeCorti) DeCleva. She was a 1948 graduate of Northeast High School and married her childhood sweetheart Joe LaBella on September 2, 1950. Joe and Nadine were married for 65 years before his passing in May 2015. Nadine was employed at City Hall in the 1950's, Montgomery Ward in the 1960's and Sears at the Antioch Shopping Center from 1979-1999 when she retired. Nadine was full of life, a wonderful Italian cook and loved spending time with her family.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents, infant brother Albert, and sister Mary Manzo. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Mark Misenhelter; granddaughters, Michelle Misenhelter, Jodi McClanahan and her husband Michael; sister, Helen Azzaro; brother, Albert DeCleva; brother-in-law, Carl LaBella; sister-in-law, Frances Montaleone; cousin, Rudi DeCleva of Genoa, Italy; cousin, Marguerite O'Gara and family; and many nieces and nephews.
Nadine's family offers their sincere gratitude and thanks to the 3 South PCU staff at Liberty Hospital along with Dr. Blake Spencer and Dr. Michael Gorton for their wonderful care of Nadine, our beloved Mom and Nana, at the end of her journey.
