Nadine Bellante White, 67, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Hwy 9, Kansas City, MO 64152, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Nadine was born to Joseph Carl and Josephine (Belmonte) Bellante on May 8, 1948, in Kansas City, MO. She attended St. James Catholic School, graduating in 1962, and Bishop Lillis High School, graduating in 1966. She also attended UMKC. In 1969 she was hired by Trans World Airlines as a Flight Attendant where she worked until her retirement in 2003. After living in Kansas City for most of her life she moved to Palm Desert, CA, in 1989 where she met her husband, Frank R. White of Roanoke, VA, the following year. They met on a golf course at the Palm Valley Country Club and later married at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas in 2000. Nadine and Frank moved to Kansas City in 2004.
Nadine had a very interesting and rewarding life flying the world with TWA, including the privilege to be part of a 25-man crew flying with Pope John Paul II for 10 days in 1987 and having a personal Papal Audience with his Holiness while on that marvelous adventure. Nadine will be remembered as a wonderful hostess. She loved to entertain and especially loved being with her family and good friends. She was active in her church St. Therese in Parkville, MO.
Nadine is survived by her husband, Frank White; her brother, Sam Bellante (Julie) of Overland Park, KS; and her sister, Carol LaSala (Phil) of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, first, second, and third cousins.
