Nancy A. Aufner, 74, of Independence, MO passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at her home. Entombment will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at Mount Olivet Mausoleum in Raytown, MO.

Nancy was born October 20, 1949, in Salerno, Italy and came to Kansas City in 1957. She was a beautician most of her early years and eventually owned her own shop. She later moved to the country to Lowry City, MO, with her husband, Carl. She then worked at the Clinton Police Department as a 911 dispatcher for a while, then soon retired. After her husband passed, she moved to Independence, MO to be close to her siblings.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Carl Aufner, Jr. in 2009. Survivors include her siblings Giovanni Ciliberti and wife Patti, Maria DeFeo-Carpenter and husband Paul, Theresa Scott, and Frances Ciliberti; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers: Paul Carpenter, Steve DeFeo, Cody Ashford, Bob Carpenter,  James Carpenter,  Mike Carpenter.

She will be deeply missed by all.
