Sadly, and suddenly on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, Nick Spero, "Big Nick", closed his eyes for the very last time. Nick was 46 years old.

Nick was preceded in death by his father, Michael Angelo Spero. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Qiana Spero; mother, Theresa Serrone Spero; brother, Mike Spero (fiancée Missy); sister, Elizabeth Spero Gardner (Butch); brother, Mark Spero (Kathy); sister, Bobbie Jo Siller; and children, Krista Lynn Kidd and Kevin Ware. Nick will be missed by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Nick believed that blood did not make a family, love did. His and our lives included friends/brothers: Tommy Agrusa, Luis Rivera, Phil Licata, Albert Robertson, Anthony Wells, Angela Freeman, and many, many more. Nick never knew a stranger.  He would give you the shirt off his back without you even asking for it. The loss of this great man will most definitely affect many lives. The depths of our sorrow and pain cannot be put into words. Our lives will never be the same. Rest in peace little brother. Now you will take care of us from up there instead of down here.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 22, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where a Funeral Service will begin at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations for Nick's funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
