Nick Louis Pizzichino, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 14, 2016. He was born on October 11, 1929, to Michael and Lucille Pizzichino.

Nick was a lifelong Kansas Citian and began his career with Anheuser Busch in 1958 working various positions including district manager for Kansas City, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska, eventually becoming general manager for Anheuser Busch in downtown Kansas City. In 1970 he became co-owner of County Beverage Company with his brother-in-law Vincent White. In 2008 he celebrated 50 years with Anheuser Busch and he remained active in his business until 2013. Nick mentored and gave job opportunities to many. He was known for giving people their "first break" and helped start careers of several successful business people in the Kansas City area.

He was a founding member and past president of the American Sons of Columbus, past president of the Missouri Beer Wholesalers Association, former board member of US Bank and former board member of Don Bosco Community Center. He was a faithful member of both St. Thomas More Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Of all of Nick's professional achievements he was most proud of his work in the charitable community on both a personal and professional basis. He was active with many charities for well over 40 years.

An avid golfer, Nick was a member of Blue Hills Country Club and Hallbrook Country Club. He loved his Monday lunches with closest friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law Nunie and Vincent White; mother-in-law and father-law Mary and Anthony Fasone; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Sal and Joey Fasone.

Nick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria; daughter and son-in-law LuAnn and Carl Ragusa; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Jami Pizzichino; grandchildren Nicole Ragusa, Joseph Ragusa, Carl Ragusa, Nick Pizzichino, Anna Pizzichino and Lucia Pizzichino; sister-in-law and brother-law Linda and George Lipari; nieces and nephews Mike White (Kim), Mary Lu White, Anthony Fasone (Lynne), Jean Fiorello (Joe Mike), Mary Fasone, Ross Lipari, JoLynn Tarantino (Anthony), Maria Fetters (Kyle); and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who love him dearly.

The rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. followed by visitation from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 18th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 19th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, followed by burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Thomas More Church; Holy Rosary Church; and Little Sisters of the Poor.

The family would like to thank his wonderful caregivers for all of their love and support: Jackie, Adriene, Kristi, Niki, and Kathy. A special thank you to Dr. Gerald M. Mancuso for his constant care for Nick over the past several years.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Cosentino, Sal Belfonte, Frank Cascone, Jimmy Cascone, Jim Polsinelli, Tom Sobbe, Benny Imperiale, Frank Molle, Sam Mirabile, and Joe Ragusa.

Nick will always be remembered as a loving family man and true friend in every sense of the word. In the 1970s Anheuser Busch had a slogan "Making Friends Is Our Business." Nick lived his life accordingly to this philosophy and made many lifelong friends along the way.
