Patricia O'Laughlin passed away on October 29, 2014. Patricia was born on October 9, 1927 in Kansas City, MO. She is the seventh of twelve children born to Stephen Francis Donahue and Mary Elizabeth Sullivan Donahue. Patricia grew up at 4111 Mercer and attended Guardian Angel Parish and School. She attended Loretto Academy and then went to boarding school at Mount St. Scholastica Academy in Atchison, Kansas. The city girl met a farm boy at a picnic and exchanged letters while he was a solider in WWII. They married on September 13, 1947, becoming Mr. and Mrs. Russell Charles O'Laughlin. Together they had three children, Mike, Debbie and Mary.

Pat and Russ belonged to St. Charles Parish where they were founding members; Pat sang in the choir and founded the Study Club. She was a leader for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire Girls. They attended St. Gabriel's Parish where Pat sang in the choir and eventually joined St. Andrew the Apostle Parish where they, and Russ's parents, Charles and Margaret O'Laughlin, were founding members. As of this date, 5 generations have concurrently attended St. Andrew's since it opened.

Patricia was a housewife and mother fixing the crew a full breakfast every morning and serving dinner at 5 O'clock when Dad walked in the door, she had her dress and pearls on! She owned an antique store, "The Curiosity Shop" and was an avid Hallmark Collector with the name "Pat's Place". She had a strong will and was proud to be a member of the "Greatest Generation". Pat was blessed with a sharp mind, never missing a beat or forgetting a thing. She loved shopping, going to Harrah's and playing Bunko, but when it came to Rummy, she was known as a card shark. Pat was a proud conservative who enjoyed being surrounded by her grandkids and great grandkids daily – always saying that's what kept her going! She had a style for dressing and always looking like a million bucks. Her blue eyes were still as blue as ever.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, Russell, six brothers: Stephen Donahue, Father Robert Donahue, Patna, India, James Donahue, William Donahue, Richard Donahue, and Charles Donahue and four sisters: Sister Mary Victor, OSB, Kathleen Andrisevie, Loretta Manning and Helen Tagan. She is survived by a sister, Cecelia Trompeter from Bay City MI, three children, Michael Charles O'Laughlin of Gladstone, MO, Deborah Josephine Sieve (Ron) of Overland Park, KS, and Mary Patricia Sanders of Gladstone, MO, Grandchildren: Brian Sieve, Jennafer and Jasper Mirabile, Amy and Luke McNeil, Katie and John Bucher, Brittany Sanders, Brandon Sieve, and Honorary Grandson: Andrew Robb, Great- Grandchildren: Paul, Jordon and Leonard Mirabile, Gabriella, Jacob and Caleb McNeil, Jack and Layla Bucher.

Services will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO on Saturday Nov 1st 2014 8 am. Visitation will be held at 7 am Rosary at 7:30 am. Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.

The family requests that no flowers be sent to the church or homes. However, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and School or The Sister Servants of Mary, Kansas City, Kansas.
