Patricia R. Haefling, 83, Lee's Summit, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at John Knox Village Care Center. The Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon Monday, January 9, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 SW State Rt. 150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pat was born June 15, 1928 in Concordia, KS. She moved to Kansas City in 1945 and worked as a legal secretary and bookkeeper until retiring in 1988. In 1997 Pat moved to John Knox Village and was a member of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church.

She is survived by two brothers, Joe Haefling of Durham, NC and Rev. Maurice Haefling OSB of Atchison, KS; three sisters, Val Campbell and Dorothy Cacioppo of Kansas City, MO and Delores Neidert of Loretta, TN; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
