Patricia Montalte, 93, passed away October 21, 2018. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 26, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Sisters of St. Francis, Independence, MO; and Harvesters of Kansas City, MO.

Patricia was born October 24, 1924, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Anthony and Angelina (Brancato) Genova. She was a generous, kind and strong woman.  She was extremely talented. She was known for her delicious Italian cookies which she shared with family and friends.  Patricia enjoyed making rosaries for the missions and crocheting lap robes for the hospitals and nursing homes and most importantly working on the St. Joseph's Table at St. Mark's for many years.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Mathew Montalte, in 1994; and her sister, Ann Morreale. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Montalte; son, Tony Montalte; granddaughter, Nikiya MacDowall; brother, John Genova (Carrie); and many nieces and nephews.
