Patricia J. Stone, "Patsy", 94, passed away January 20, 2022. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 27, at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 28, at St. Bernadette's ( live stream ), followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Bernadette's Parish.
Patsy was born September 13, 1927, in Kansas City, MO, to the late George and Frances (Porter) Martin. She worked for her father at Martin Foundry for several years and also at Vendo. She and her husband Gene were founding members of St. Bernadette's Parish, where she was an active member of the Altar Society. She was also an avid bowler, played guitar, and had a beautiful alto voice.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Eugene O. "Gene" Stone, in 2005; and her son, George A. Stone, in 2020.
She is survived by her children: Dixie J. Altman and husband Jim, David E. Stone and wife Carole, Darrell P. Stone and wife Deborah, Darlene F. White and husband Kirk; her daughter-in-law Christine Stone; her grandchildren: Lee E. Peek (Amy), Andrea Altman, Jennifer Buckley (John), Kimberly M. Blunke (John), Amy R. Moreland (Michael), Jill L. Drummond (Dan), Brian D. Stone (Missi), Julie C. Stone, Darrin Stone (Emily), Eric M. Stone, Anna R. Stone, Kristin F. Stricklin (John); her great-grandchildren: Maren and Abigail Peek, T.J. Rende, Amanda Stringer (Hayden), Hailey Aldana (Johnny), Jacob and Mikaela Fernandez, Mindie Myers (Sam), Ashley Blunke, Ashleigh LeClaire (Collin), MacMichael Moreland, Rachel and Logan Dearing, Samantha Drummond, Daniel Drummond (Stephanie), Chrislyn Drummond, Zain Stone, Kennedy Stone, Cole and Sarah Morgan, Ethan, Elliott, and Aubrey Stone, Payton Bell, Dakota White, and Benjamin Stricklin; her great-great grandchildren: Chelsea Stringer, Iris Aldana, Skyler LeClaire, Flora and Noah Drummond, and Michael Wade; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
