Patricia V. "Pat" Vest, 79 passed away peacefully in her home August 20, 2018. She was born April 2, 1939, in Kansas City, MO, and resided in Independence, MO. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vest; her parents and siblings; and her two sons Michael Vest and Mark Vest. She is survived by her sister Colleen Vidmar of Shellsburg, IA;  three sons: Darrell Vest of Independence, MO, Steve Vest of Blue Springs, MO, Jamie Vest of Kansas City, MO; her two daughters: Linda Nickell of Independence, MO, Sandra Stanley of Kansas City, MO; 29 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and many close friends and family.

Patricia and Robert met at the Roxy theater, married July 20, 1959 and started their wonderful family. They enjoyed many family nights and were famous for many taco nights at the Vest's home. They also enjoyed watching their sons race cars at the track. One of her favorite things to do was to play bingo. She was passionate about her bingo nights and looked forward to them with family each week. Pat will be deeply missed by so many.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. with a Service at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Lifegate Church, 2911 Blue Ridge Blvd., Independence, MO 64052, followed by a graveside at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Flowers and/or donations may be left with Lifegate Church (816) 503-9586.
