Patrick G. Brown, 79, Raytown, MO, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Westridge Gardens surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, 8941 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Regis Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Patrick was born September 16, 1932 to Evert and Marie Brown. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a lithographer for over 45 years and retired from Commercial Lithographing in 1992, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Raytown Council 4962. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Frances Brown; son Phillip Bleyenberg; and his brother Ralph Brown.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Karyn Brown, Jim and Kara Brown, Buddy and Chris Bleyenberg, and Paul Bleyenberg; grandchildren, Lisa and Justin Schuster, Anna and Shaun McGraw, John Bleyenberg, Jaden Brown, Frank Brown, and Lilian Brown; great-grandchildren, Austin Schuster, Alaina Schuster, and Kolby McGraw; sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa Penske, Bernice and Bill Hayes, and Lorraine Sheldon; sister-in-law, Sharon Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
Patrick was a beloved father, grandpa, papa, Pop, uncle and brother who lived the mottos 'treat others as you'd like to be treated' and 'patience is a virtue'. We will always remember the love, laughter and strength you gave us.
