Obituary

Paul Salvatore DiGiovanni, 70, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011, at Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2 E. 75th St, Kansas City, MO 64114. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64145. Online condolences may be offered at www.passantinobros.com.

Paul was born July 14, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Sam and Frances DiGiovanni. He was a graduate of Holy Cross Grade School, Southwest High School, and attended Wentworth Military Academy and the University of Notre Dame. Paul enjoyed the restaurant industry and owned and operated numerous restaurants. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and rooting for his favorite sports teams. Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Marge DiGiovanni; his children and their spouses, Debbie and Phil Uehling, Sam and Tami DiGiovanni, Paul Michael DiGiovanni; grandchildren, Stefanie, Anthony, Sammy, Nicole, Lauren, and Joe DiGiovanni; step-grandchildren, Lauren and Brett Hensley, and Dekher Trosper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pinky and Tony Cipolla, Laura and Jim Tucker; mother-in-law, Katherine Pace; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony and Carol Pace, Frank and Kathleen Pace; aunts and uncle, Elvira Migliazzo, Joe and Frances Battaglia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
