Paul Ehrlich, 93, left us peacefully on December 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at an assisted living facility in Kansas City, Missouri.

Born in Vienna in 1932, Paul immigrated/escaped to the United States in 1938 along with his parents Irene and Edward Ehrlich, and his brother George.

He is survived by his only child Andrew, his two granddaughters Claire and Carly, his partner Ann Shapiro, and a loving collection of extended family, classmates and friends.

Following his graduation from Harvard University and The Johns Hopkins School of International Affairs, Paul served our country as a lieutenant in the Army for two years. He moved to New York, NY and settled on the Upper West Side, starting a successful career in journalism, including time at WABC Radio, CBS This Morning, Financial News Network, and Bloomberg, and as a professor at CUNY Lehman.

An eternal optimist, sharp wit, and joy to be around, Paul will be missed.
