Paul Dwayne Howell, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 30, 2026. He was born on December 26, 1943, to Agnes and Cleo Howell.

Paul was a devoted husband and a loving father to Paul Howell (Tracy), Jerry Howell, Rebecca Pifer (Don), Christina Carter (Steve), and Shane Howell (Heather). He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought him immense joy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Howell; his son, Jerry Howell; his granddaughter, Cassandra Phillips; and his grandsons Michael Phillips and Kyle Gerhardt.

Paul spent most of his life doing what he loved--connecting with people and building a life through hard work and entrepreneurship. Over the years, he owned and operated multiple businesses, including car lots, tire shops, antique shops, and a thrift store. He was especially well known for buying and selling antiques, a passion he continued right up until his passing. He also worked for many years at the Westport Flea Market, where he became a familiar and friendly face to many.

He had a gift for conversation and was known for his storytelling, quick wit, and sense of humor. Whether sharing a joke or lending a helping hand, Paul made people feel welcome and valued. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him.

Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and community that will live on through his family and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m.
