On Saturday, September the 12th, 2020, Paul Mancuso Jr. took the next step in his journey to the Lord's side. Paul, a lifelong resident of the Kansas City metro area, began his journey on December 9 ^th , 1947. Paul was born to Paul and Mary Mancuso .

The first steps of Paul's journey were taken in Independence, MO. He grew up working at his father's grocery store Jacobson's Market, where he began  learning to be the man and entrepreneur he would later become. Paul graduated from DeLaSalle High School. During his high school days, Paul met the love of his life Margaret Palermo where the next step of his journey continued. Paul and Margaret were married on September 20, 1969 at Holy Rosary Church in the "North End" of Kansas City. From that union the pride of Paul's life arrived in the form of his three daughters, Mary Hayward (Michael), Annette Mancuso, and Michelle Passantino (Joe). From that point forward in his journey, Paul's focus was on the love and care of his family.

After high school Paul completed chiropractic college and joined the U.S. Army as a medic. He completed his training at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The Vietnam war ended during his training, so Paul remained in the reserves for the next 6 years, serving at General Hospital in Kansas City, MO. After his military service, Paul worked as a head meat cutter for Safeway until 1984. At that time, his journey took a change of direction and on to a partnership with his younger brother Greg Mancuso, where P&G Hardware was born. Paul along with his brother Greg, owned and  operated P&G Hardware for the next 35 years in both Independence and Parkville until retiring in 2019.

Throughout his journey, Paul put God, his strong Catholic faith and the love and care of his family as guiding principles to set the course for the journey he traveled. Paul joined St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in 1999 to support the new pastor, his brother Monsignor Joseph Mancuso. He also joined the Knights of Columbus for the fellowship of like-minded Catholics and to support the parish he came to love.

Paul was preceded in his journey to the Lord's side by his father Paul Mancuso Sr., mother Mary Mancuso, eldest brother Monsignor Joseph Mancuso, and nephew Paul Anthony Mancuso. Paul waits patiently for the time when he can again see his wife Margaret, daughters Mary Hayward (Michael), Annette Mancuso, Michelle Passantino (Joe), his beloved grandchildren Joseph and Ava Passantino, older brother John Mancuso (Margaret), his younger brother Greg Mancuso (Denise), sister Anna Wutich, and  many nieces and nephews to join him at his side.

The Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. followed by Visitation 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. The Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 18, at the Church, followed by entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum. Due to the current pandemic, masks and social distancing are required for all services.
