Pauline Mary (Castelluccio) Ellis was born November 20, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Angelo Castelluccio and Lilly (Lombardo) Castelluccio.  Pauline passed away 68 years later on June 13, 2020, preceded in death by her brother Salvatore Castelluccio and daughter Sandra Ellis.  Pauline is survived by her husband, Lewis "Rick" Ellis; her child, Rick Ellis (and spouse Stacy); her grandchildren, Ryan Ellis and Kadee Ellis; and many more family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Pauline grew up down in the North End, attending Holy Rosary Grade School and Cardinal Glennon High School.  She was married to Lewis Ellis in July 1970.  Although her favorite job was to be a loving and caring wife and mother, she worked for Home Insurance (downtown Kansas City), Trans World Airlines, and American Airlines from which she retired.  No matter what job, she always took great pride in her work and never was happy settling for less that the best.

Pauline was a brilliant, creative, fiery, energizing, caring, lovable, and very protective person.  Even as her health was failing, there was nothing she wouldn't do to help someone she cared about.  At the same time, if you crossed her or someone she loved, it brought a wrath you would never forget.   She was on a first name basis with everyone that she met, and got to know them on a personal basis, caring about the troubles in other people's lives, even the medical personnel taking care of her.

Pauline loved to cook when she had a chance, with her specialty being her green bean casserole which everyone looked forward to her bringing to every family event.   She loved to watch a variety of TV shows, including cooking shows, go to country concerts, listen to Frank Sinatra, and to hear from her grandchildren to stay up to date on their lives.   She looked forward to phone calls with her son where she would discuss, and sometimes argue, about anything from world events to sports as well as tell him hilarious stories from her day-to-day life.

She will be deeply missed by family and friends for whom she was truly a blessing.
