Pauline M. Serrone, 89, Kansas City, MO, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the KC Hospice House. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 8001 Longview Rd., Kansas City, MO. The visitation will be 5 -7 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the church, where the rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 10 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Polly was born June 10, 1925, in Elk Point, South Dakota to John and Theresa Flannery. She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1943 where she met and married her husband of 60 years, Louis Serrone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; parents, and a brother, Max Flannery and sister, Maxine Chaussee.

Survivors include her four children: Michael (Sue) Serrone; Mary K. (Darrell) Sommerhauser; Diane (Sam) Locascio; and Jackie (Mark) Shewmaker; grandchildren, Crystine (Adam) Gray and Anna Serrone; Mark (Ava) Sommerhauser and Daniel Sommerhauser; Theresa, Joseph and Brian Locascio; and Shannon Shewmaker. She also leaves a niece, nephew, sister-in-law and other family and friends.

She was a devoted member of St. Matthew Apostle Catholic Church. Polly loved her faith, family and many friends, including her extended family at Villa Ventura Senior Living facility.

Polly was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
