Pearl Kathryn Guarino, 86, passed away on November 24, 2019. Memorial Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, December 7, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society .

Pearl was born May 12, 1933, to the late Frank and Jennie Triano, and married Paul J. Guarino October 14, 1953. She is survived by husband Paul; daughter Paula J. Hamblin (Don); son John Paul Guarino (Bette); grandchildren Mark Paul Hamblin (Tiffany), Rachel McInnis (Mark),  and Laura Ann Guarino; and great-granddaughter Maeve Pearl McInnis.

Pearl was preceded in death by her father Frank, mother Jennie, brother John, and sisters Phyllis, Louise and Toni.

A graduate of Holy Rosary Elementary and Manual High School, Pearl started working at Kansas City Salad in 1959 and became a co-owner with her husband Paul in 1976. They both retired in 1994.

Pearl provided care for her mother Jennie, brother John, and aunts Mary and Annie.

Everyone who met her described her as caring, sweet, and comparable to a second mother.
