Peggy (LaPorte) Achille, 73, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Inurnment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Peggy was born April 11, 1941, in Chicago, IL, to Phillip and Virginia LaPorte. She was an avid bowler and loved playing cards with her friends. She worked as a card dealer for Sam's Town and Isle of Capri. She enjoyed her monthly outings with her club girls and caring for her dogs. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nick Achille; son, Steven Achille; sister, Pat Hileman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Madeline Achille; and sister-in-law, Anna Mae Christofano.

Survivors include her children, Phillip Achille and wife Shari, Frank Achille, Madalyn King and husband James, Nick Achille; daughter-in-law, Rachel Achille; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Phil LaPorte and wife Carol; brother-in-law, Anthony Christofano and wife Marie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Peggy was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
