Pete was born in Kansas City, MO, to Frank A. and Angelina (Battaglia) Ferrara. He attended both De La Salle and Northeast High Schools. He was a great boxer for whom all his family and friends pulled and cheered for on his way to many victories including several Golden Gloves Championships in the early '70's. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Frankie C. Ferrara, in 1998.
Pete leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda Ferrara; his daughter, Frannie Ferrara Bollinger and husband Geoff, along with his two granddaughters, Ava and Izabella; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank J. and Marie A. Ferrara, Silvia and Henry Rizzo, Clara and John Moretina, and John A. Ferrara. He also leaves behind his last remaining aunt, Mary Battaglia Toth; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to all of the great nurses, doctors and staff at both KU Medical Center and NorthCare Hospice House who cared for our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and showed him much compassion during his during his final days. Go in peace now, into God's loving arms and to all others who await your arrival in Heaven.
