Peter Vincent Inzerillo, 76, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 after a happy and carefree life. Pete did not do anything he did not want to do and encouraged those around him to live their lives without worry, hassle, or stress.

Pete was born on March 19, 1948 to Peter Anthony and Louise (Lascari) Inzerillo and was a lifelong representative of Northeast Kansas City neighborhood. He often shared stories about growing up in the Italian community with fascinating characters, a large family, and a tight-knit crew of best friends who shared great times together.

Pete married Francilyn McBratney on September 4, 1971 at a ceremony marked by said friends' efforts to get him so drunk that the details remain fuzzy to this day. He is survived by his wife, Francilyn Inzerillo, three daughters and sons-in-law, Aimee (Brian) Crosby, Jenny Inzerillo (Ryan Brooks), and Trisa (Cassidy) Kern. Pete is also survived by four grandchildren and two grand-cats. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ben B. Inzerillo, Dr. Nathan Inzerillo, and Matthew "Marc" Inzerillo.

Pete occasionally attended Northeast High School, graduating in 1967. He was a proud, lifelong member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 124, where he served as a master electrician and shop steward throughout his career.

Pete was a gifted athlete from childhood. He was especially known for his skills on third base and, like his favorite third baseman Brooks Robinson, a ball never got past him. He also loved playing golf and was formidable on the tennis court. After retirement, Pete was a regular at the YMCA, where he hit the pool almost every day, swimming 73 laps on his 73rd birthday. Pete was an avid poker player and was…pretty good. Pete loved a good artichoke, hated Donald Trump, and treasured his time with family and friends.

A gathering of the vecchias in celebration of Pete's life will take place on July 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the American Sons of Columbus, 2415 Independence Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64124, ensuring that those who loved him will have plenty of time to collect their best stories (there will be stories).
