Peter was a lifelong Kansas City resident, a graduate of Northeast High School, and an Eagle Scout. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Peter operated a plumbing supply business after returning from the Army and then entered the restaurant business. He owned and operated several restaurants in the Kansas City area including Antonio's Pizzeria, Hello Dolly's, Taco Pete's, Georgie Porgie's, Sir Kenneth's Fish & Chips, and Marty's BBQ.

Peter was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas; and his parents, Guy and Josephine. He is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Mary Tamburello; grandchildren, Cara Nichole and fiance Joe Baeres, Peter Joseph, and Frank John Tamburello; brothers and sister-in-law, Carl Tamburello, Victor and Delia Tamburello; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Amelia and Bert Salonen, Ronnie and Yvonne Carter; aunt, Dorothy Hilyard; many nieces and nephews; and special extended family, Florence Leber, Cara and Shane Danner, Francesca Leber and Nicolas Danner.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Monday, April 6, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terr., Kansas City, MO 64116, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 p.m. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
